Lic. Andrés Pineda

Andrés Mauricio Pineda Monsalvo obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He worked as grantee in the PAPIME PE400219 Project “Contemporary Anglo-Irish Literature, XX and XXI Centuries,” and continues to voluntarily contribute to its development. He also collaborated as grantee in the Joyce Without Borders 2019 North American James Joyce Symposium, held at Casa Universitaria del Libro UNAM (CASUL) on June 12 – 16, 2019. His main area of interest is contemporary Irish female writers such as, Eimear McBride, Lisa McInerney, Sally Rooney, Anne Enright, among others. Currently, he is working on a thesis proposal on A Girl Is a Half-formed Thing, by Eimear McBride, and The Glorious Heresies, by Lisa McInerney, for the MA in Irish Studies at National University of Ireland in Galway to which he has been admitted.
